Hello again, Sam here ,welcome back its 2023 and I know its been so long I haven't written anything since mid week of September.
Well honestly I don't know why, but I just didn't felt like writing cause life hadn't been going that well in-fact it never had but just hope it will someday.
Now, moving on with the blog with some quick learnings:
So as we know in India there are so many festivals that come by in second half of the year precisely after July, and days go really-really quick from Ganpati to Navratri to Dusshera and then to the festival of lights (Diwali) to Christmas and Finally its a New year and the cycle continues again and again year after year.
Since my last blog a lot has happened i.e. from Ganeshotsav to New year, life had changed slightly for me as I had some very first time experiences which you will know further in the blog.
After Ganeshotsav then comes the Navratri which is a 9 day festival, where different goddess are worshipped on each day of Navratri, which is an auspicious occasion as women god is worshipped, and rest of the time women are oppressed, isn't this an irony?.
Navratri is also special as Garba is played and its quite fun to play with your friends and family. So at end of festival there comes a day known as dussehra/vijayadashami and its the last day of garba too.(Well every good thing has to end right, isn't this the law of universe?)
Thoroughly enjoyed the festival unlike the past years but still good to be remembered.
I had a major low phase during this time cause I had lost a friend (I know you will be reading this or at least I hope you would) with whom I used to share everything, everyday, it was tough for me but nonetheless its life and you move on and accept things as they are and you know the law of universe right?
After Dussehra there comes Diwali, within a span of 20 days.
Diwali which is often described as festival of lights is one of my favorite as the vibe is very charismatic and everyone is excited around you to celebrate this and even have gatherings, which I had with my college friends we had visited Shivaji Park and enjoyed that.
We (me and my friends) had planned during September to travel to GOA after Diwali and even I had my exams in December so I had to be prepared for that too but there comes a twist- My exams which I had been preparing for attending classes and managing my job, I couldn't give them cause the Institute (ACCA) had delayed my registration due to which I couldn't book my exams and now have to give in March 2023.
So coming back to Goa trip and it was our first trip apart from treks and the fun we had in that was one to be nostalgic forever. From riding scooty in Goa and getting caught by COPS, playing on the beach, drinking alcohol while having some gossips and of course some friends puking, spending evenings swimming on the beach having seen sunsets and finally ending it on higher note with scuba diving, snorkeling and much more. On the last day of trip we were late to catch our bus we had woken up late and it was a very tight situation but only god knows how we managed it.
Nonetheless, everything went well and we came home on night of 30th Oct, back to our daily lives. But at the back of my mind something was troubling me which was I not giving my exams in December in-spite of preparing it well and trying my best to be incoordination with the Institute and my class faculty. It took some time to recover but gradually I did and I planned to give 2 papers in March eventually my long term plans didn't get affected. In November, nothing much happened (but only cricket fever was there but even this time India failed to win the T20 World Cup), it went fast and December came in ,the actual winters for Mumbai.
December was an awful month for me as a matter of fact that had bought a laptop but then turned out to be a defective and even my display got broken, the new one was costlier around 7,000 approx which is more than half a price of my phone . Also, In December I had to visit client place (L&T FS) and had to work from there for a month which was far from my home but had no option. Anyways, December had too many downs but one positive was there which was Messi winning the world cup finally ,was damn excited as the G.O.A.T debate finally ended, siuuuuuu?
The last day of the year came, enjoyed that day to the core with being out almost an entire day with friends and celebrating in a restro sipping some alchohol with gossips of course.
Now, moving on to some learnings :
1) Acceptance is something which comes often uncalled so be wise enough to accept things/situations as they arise.
2) Quoting naval here,
"Life is a single player game. You are trapped inside your head and you are just aware of bunch of things going on".
3)What happens after death will always be a mystery, remember.
4)Every man is happy until suddenly happiness is a goal.
5)Punctuality is the most important skill to have to be successful.
If you are punctual in whatever thing you do, you are ahead of 90% of the people, Fact.
The year has been an oddly challenging and satisfying for me - from failing in exams to getting a job and switching my career. It was full of ups and downs with some new exciting experiences ,nothing sort of roller coaster. I started this blogging channel this year just causally and see its my 10th blog already but also thank you for reading my blogs , it really means to me a lot, honestly <3
Lastly, if you are reading till here or scrolled down to last bit (Ps- I know its a long one), ending this blog on one of my favourite quote by Christopher Walken,
"If you knew how quickly people forget the dead you would stop living to impress people"
Read that again, Rethink.
Also, you know the law of universe right, at least you might have till now>
Bye,
Sam
